Content and objective of the programme

Mastering your own instrument is at the core of the studies and you will receive a lot of one-to-one instruction. Your studies include: instrument and ensemble playing, optional studies, thesis and maturity test, optional and elective studies. You may also deepen your knowledge in pedagogics.

After completing your degree, you will be able to artisticly express yourself, master your instrument and have the musical understanding needed for working in demanding positions. Your future career could be as a soloist, orchestral or chamber musician or an instrument pedagog.

You can also choose courses organised by the other two Uniarts Helsinki academies and complete joint studies that are available to all students.
