Nordic-Baltic Transdisciplinary Research-Creation Network
An association of artists and researchers who foster cooperation between arts and academia in the Nordic-Baltic region by implementing a transdisciplinary research-creation cluster, and disseminating its practices through a series of events, workshops, and publications.
Introduction
This network aims to implement transdisciplinary research-creation practices and share them in the Nordic and Baltic art fields through a series of events and publications.
Research-creation is an approach to research that combines artistic and academic practices into a broad methodology to produce artistic, technological and discursive outputs.
Research-creation involves multiple agencies stemming from the artistic and academic fields. From a pluralistic epistemological basis, research-creation builds transdisciplinary enquiries that are well suited to address complex, multifaceted contemporary phenomena.
This project assembles a community of artists and researchers in 6 countries in the Nordic-Baltic area, who will benefit from a research-creation framework that emphasises continuum between different epistemic approaches and research agencies.
