Dr. Violeta Simjanovska has more than 25 years academic and working experience gained in the field of arts management and cultural policy in Europe and worldwide. Starting as an Electrical engineer, than music festival manager, also as a general manager of a Performing Arts Research Center, leading many international projects, working also as an expert, lecturer, professor and researcher in the past 20 years, that was the way of her transformation that took place in her personal interests and work focus. Professor, Lecturer , consultant, expert, cultural management specialist, project management specialist, cultural policy analyst/researcher, ICD, CD,Civil Society, EU, South Eastern Europe (Balkans)/& owner of PAC Multimedia. 25+ year of of relevant professional experience in the area of cultural management, international programme management, developing cultural. educational and youth programmes and policy analysis, local cultural development and capacity building, community programme development, teaching and production, working in multicultural communities. Cultural Management Specialist, Cultural policy analyst and researcher with both practical extensive experience and academic interest (Holding PhD in Cultural Management and Cultural Policy). Provide analyses and advise institutions/individuals on issues related to culture, advise institutions on cultural planning; produce research and analysis papers on issues related to culture and education Europe and particularly in SEE/Balkans; design strategies, developing programmes, conduct training seminars and workshops, giving lecture on issue related to arts and culture, developing cultural programmes for inter ethnic integration in multicultural societies; Extensive experience (20+ years) in working with: international organizations, private companies, governmental bodies, development agencies, civil society organizations in the Balkans, EU, Australia and USA. At the moment, she is working as a Head of arts management department and Lecturer in Arts Management at Sibelius Academy, University of Arts Helsinki. In addition, she is working as a consultant and cultural expert on few international programmes, such as UNESCO, Creative Europe and Horizon. She has published more than 50 articles, books and research reports in field of cultural policy and cultural management. Her main field of expertise and teaching include: Cultural Policy framework and trends; Arts, Value and Society; Strategic management in Arts; Intercultural Communication skills; Project management in arts; Sustainable event management.
