Marjo Kaartinen

My research areas are Reformation history, early modern cultural history, gender history, among others. My recent research interests have also covered histories of friendship, bodiliness, medicine and walking.

Marjo Kaartinen (PhD) is Uniarts Helsinki’s vice rector for education. Before taking on the position of vice rector, she served as the head of the School of History, Culture and Arts Studies and professor of cultural history at the University of Turku.
