Maija Lampinen

Maija Lampinen works as a lecturer at the Open Campus of the Uniarts and teaches in the university pedagogy program for the arts. In addition, she has participated in the development of teaching at the Uniarts, including the development of student feedback practices, teaching portfolio guidelines and training, planning of curriculum implementations, strengthening student well-being, and developing study guidance. At the national level, Lampinen serves as the co-coordinator of the network of trainers and developers in higher education pedagogy (KouKe). In this role, he collaborates with representatives from other networks and higher education institutions. Lampinen’s doctoral research at the University of Tampere deals with the curricula of higher education in the arts and what the higher education in the arts is based on from the perspective of the structure of knowledge and the knowers. Lampinen has a Master’s degree in Educational Sciences. Previously, she worked as a educational developer at Aalto University (2010–2018), where she was involved in creating and implementing Aalto’s university pedagogy education (25 - 60 ECTS). She also coordinated the quality of education group in one of Aalto’s schools and participated in the university’s strategic project concerning student well-being. In her work, she has evaluated the teaching competence (portfolio, teaching demonstration, and interview) of 150-170 lecturers or professors and written statements about them. She has also worked as a project manager in the continuing education unit of the University of Art and Design Helsinki (UIAH, in Finnish TaiK) in the field of digital media (2004–2010)."
