Kimmo Karjunen

Kimmo Karjunen is a multifaceted lighting, set, video, and sound designer who has cultivated a rich and diverse portfolio across various artistic disciplines, including opera, contemporary dance, and immersive exhibitions. In 2009 he received the State of Finland Award for the Arts as the first lighting designer in Finland. His expertise is not only evident in his creative work but also in his impactful role as a University Lecturer at the Theatre Academy, where he teaches both Degree Programmes and the Master's Degree Programme in Lighting Design.
