Henna Halonen

Henna-Riikka Halonen a visual artist and researcher. She is a senior lecturer of contemporary Art at Turku University of Applied Sciences and a Post-Doctoral researcher at the University of the Arts Helsinki. Her recent projects and research are concerned with how relations and spaces are conditioned by technological, ecological, and political developments and are often initiated by a physical encounter with a specific context or a site. She develops systems within systems that seek to subvert perceptions and evoke forms of resistance using fiction and the site’s materiality as catalysts.
