Hanna Pajala-Assefa

Hanna Pajala-Assefa is an artist-researcher working in the of intersection of contemporary choreography and mediated technology. She has an extensive career in contemporary choreography and film, as well as in producing art events. Since 2013, she has worked with interactive audiovisual media and virtual technology, and taught and curated content in new-media performing arts. She has been part of interdisciplinary projects such as Moving Digits with both academic and artistic outcomes and presented work in academic conferences, MoCo, Nofod and Artech. She is currently conducting artistic research at the University of the Arts on Digital Choreography and feminist practices of creating mediated performances. She is in the final stages of her dissertation on Digital Choreography. She is open to proposals of research and artistic collaboration in mediated performance, feminist interaction design, and posthuman subjectivity.
