White Studio
White Studio is a performance and exhibition facility shared by Uniarts Helsinki's Academy of Fine Arts and Theatre Academy.
White Studio is mainly used to organise the performances and exhibitions of students from the Academy of Fine Arts and the Theatre Academy. The studio has been designed to be adaptable, which is why it is suitable not only for exhibitions and performances but also for teaching purposes.
White Studio is located in the main building of the Academy of Fine Arts on the Sörnäinen campus and there is an accessible route to the main building of the Theatre Academy. In Finnish, the studio is called Valkoinen studio.
The space has a light wooden floor and a chain hoist system with six triangular trusses, each eight metres long. The space has a simple sound system and a video projector. The trusses have integral power rails to which gallery lighting can be attached, and the space also has simple presentation lights.
The studio can hold a maximum of 60 people.
