Paavo
Rehearsal Hall Paavo is primarily intended as a rehearsal hall for orchestras operating in Musiikkitalo. The hall is named after the late conductor Paavo Berglund, and it is also a venue for public events.
Two orchestras can work simultaneously inside the Helsinki Music Centre since the rehearsal hall stage is built similarly to the Concert Hall stage. Paavo also hosts concerts and other events for companies and the public. Paavo also hosts concerts and other events for companies and the public.
The hall can seat 240 people. The rehearsal hall was renamed Paavo to honour the late conductor Paavo Berglund after his death in 2012. He is regarded as a father figure in modern Sibelius conducting.
The acoustics inside Paavo are designed especially for acoustic orchestral music. The acoustics are also suitable for smaller ensembles and lightly amplified music.
Reserving Paavo for events
