Young artist of Summer: Tiina Louneva
The Story of Us
Minimalistic soundscapes and video art.
The Story of Us: original music and film by Tiina Louneva depicting the cyclical nature of life through imagery of Finnish nature and the her own family. The theme of change, in both the seasons and family generations, is used to paint these stories.
Motifs include change, nature, and the seemingly mundane – things that are right in front of us, but are easily lost in the whirlwind of life. Tiina skilfully weaves her musical textures and imagery together to create a rich and cohesive experience. Minimalism and simplicity transmit the ideas of freedom and the essence of living. These approaches function as a counterbalance to a chaotic and restless urban life.
Tiina Louneva, voice and 5 String kantele
The Young artists of the summer series lasting from 19 August to 4 September presents recent graduates and students of the Sibelius Academy of Uniarts Helsinki who have excelled in their studies.
