Artwork on Kuninkaansaari island.

“The location of my experimental artwork ended up being a little cove on the shore of Kuninkaansaari. My work is a study on the movements of the waves of the sea, the wind and natural materials in relation to the idea of border(line) that I will build near the actual shoreline. I will use stones, branches and grass as material. My work resembles a process, and the gesture of ongoing building is a central part of the work – it’s not possible to say anything else about the final result, other than that the line is in motion.”

The artwork is a border, a line, a fence, made of natural materials. It is located close to the shore, but it is partially under water. The work and the movements of the sea result in interaction, shaping the work through its transformative, fickle and lively nature.
