Superpluck club – Lumottu metsä
The Superpluck club series highlights current international topics and repertoire of contemporary music.
The flautist Camilla Hoitenga is the club’s guest star in August, and the programme includes several Finnish premieres of plucking instruments.
In the discussion part of the club, composer Juha T. Koskinen will discuss his ideas on sea and nō-theatre tradition. Composer Osmo-Tapio Räihälä will also present his book ‘Miksi nykymusiikki on niin vaikeaa?’ (“Why is contemporary music so difficult?”; Atena, 2021), which won the Tieto-Finlandia award in the year of its publication.
