Kasperi Leponiemi’s master’s degree concert.
Kasperi Leponiemi’s Master’s Concert includes impressive masterpieces of classical guitar literature. The programme is personal, narrative and traditional. The singing, expressive guitar evokes emotions. The atmosphere changes from lyrical to vibrant and fiery. The classical guitar is an opera on six strings in this concert.
It will be a celebration for the forms of Western art music. The concert will feature Johann Sebastian Bach’s magnificent lute suite in E minor, Giulio Regondi’s virtuosic Introduction et Caprice, Bruno Bettinelli’s atmospheric Notturno, and Manuel Ponce’s iconic variations and fugue on La Folia. The story of the concert culminates in Joaquin Rodrigo’s famous Aranjuez guitar concerto.

Organized for the sixth time, the Sibelius Academy Guitar Festival presents the artistic spectrum of students and teachers of the Sibelius Academy of the University of the Arts.
