Open Forest
The event is a part of Uniarts Helsinki’s fourth Research Pavilion, taking place in Hietsun Paviljonki and its surroundings in Helsinki 5 June – 29 August 2021.
Open Forest is a participatory artwork that explores different forests, forest data and climate emergency. The work consists of an interactive installation, performative events and speculative research instruments.
Two workshops will be held on June 16 at 4pm and on June 17 on 4pm. During the workshop participants will visit remotely a forest research station and speculate with stories and data. The workshops are open to the public and will be led by researchers/designers Andrea Botero, Markéta Dolejšová and Sjef van Gaalen. To join a workshop, come to Hietsu Paviljonki at 4pm.
