How do ecological poetics perform between dance, site and image?
Nature Untitled is a triptych dance performance, created in collaboration by choreographer Veli Lehtovaara, visual artist Eija-Liisa Ahtila and sound designer Jani Hietanen together with an international group of artists.
The audiovisual installation is created from the performance documentation, moving image used in scenographic elements, texts found and produced during the choreographic research process. Audience is seated on the wooden sculptures, which expand the registers of experience to touch and scent.
The work will be pre-examined as the first artistic element of Lehtovaara’s doctoral research project Ecological Poetics in Dance and Choreographic Writing.
