Music Centre’s summer concert: Manuel Dunkel, Tuomo Uusitalo, Nathan Francis & Aleksi Heinola
The Quartet consists of top-of-the-line players from the Finnish jazz scene. The sound of the group is rich and energetic, yet elegant, packed with lots of swingin’ groove and fine interplay between the musicians. The music is based in the firm roots of the timeless & hip 60’s hard bop tradition with a modern twist. The repertoire of the quartet consists of both original compositions and jazz standards. The flexibility and knowledge of the musicians allows the quartet to have a wide repertoire of music at hand, which gives the group a sense of freedom and spontaneity to make every concert a unique experience for both the musicians and the audience.
