Musica nova Helsinki: The Music of Our Time lecture series: Clara Iannotta
The resident composer of Musica nova Helsinki 2023 is Clara Iannotta, an acclaimed Italian composer of contemporary music. Her compositions will be heard in several concerts at the festival, including the world premiere of her new piece where the dark earth bends at the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra’s concert on March 3rd. Iannotta’s work explores music and sound material as an existential and physical experience. What emotions does composing in this time and space evoke in Iannotta?
