Follow Through Walking
Follow Through Walking enters the streets of Helsinki to examine the characteristics of the walking as an event, i.e. what kind of information about the city can be exposed by walking and how walking as an activity can be related to artistic research. Three artists, who practice walking in different ways in their research practices, use different exercises to experiment, whether the researcher’s chair can be taken into the flurry of the winter in the streets. The event is planned by the Academy of Fine Arts Visiting researcher Jaakko Ruuska, Doctoral researcher Niran Baibulat and Lena Séraphin, Visiting researcher at the Uniarts Helsinki Research Institute.
