Hooray! Seppo Tukiainen 

Violin artist and teacher Seppo Tukiainen’s (1939–2022) colleagues and students play music and reminisce about their friend and mentor.

Seppo Tukiainen won the Kuopio Violin Competition in 1970 and played at the Helsinki City Orchestra in 1960-1972. He started working as a lecturer in violin at the Sibelius Academy in 1973 and acted as the director of the study programme for string instruments in 1994-2001. Tukiainen performed internationally, recorded, and belonged to the jury of different violin competitions.
