This concert will explore how the concept of a minimum amount of tools can be applied within the context of an ensemble. it also, includes experiments with electronics and gourds, which will be displayed in the venue throughout the concert.
The concert is aimed at music lovers, researchers, music students, and professionals who appreciate music as a language to cross-cultural, and genre barriers. It deals with the limitations and how musicians can creatively act and make connections with a minimum amount of tools. It also highlights the importance of the community and the legacy of our ancestors.

This concert involves audience participation, and your contribution is warmly welcomed if you wish to take part! The contributions will be in the form of pre-recorded vocal messages. The recording happens inside the Black Box venue before the concert begins. Your reflections, along with others’, will be played through the speakers during the performance, becoming an integral part of tonight’s journey. Your vocal message will not be connected to your name/identity in the performance. Before recording your message, please sign the provided research participant consent form, as this concert is part of Adriano’s doctoral research.
If you are willing to participate, please enter the venue early enough. There will be a private space where you can share your thoughts. Simply follow the instructions at the recording booth.

Global Fest 2024 is the 9th edition of an annual festival featuring students, teachers, alumni and special guests representing Sibelius Academy’s Global Music Department. Bringing together artists from many corners of the world, the Global Music Department focusses on intercultural dialogue and collaboration, creating new artistic work together and fostering a sense of global citizenship. Expect a feast of dynamic, innovative, inspiring concerts and pop-up events, featuring performers from around the world celebrating the diversity of our planet.
Featuring performers from diverse corners of the world, including Argentina, Australia, Bangladesh, Belgium, Bulgaria, Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Iran, Iraq, Italy, Jordan, Kosova, Latvia, Mozambique, Nigeria, Palestine, Peru, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Syria, Tanzania, Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine, UK, and USA.
