Folk music from the Uniarts Helsinki: Small variations of everyday life
Klara Källström master concert
Performers
Klara Källström, cello
Through small variations, our lives change slowly and gradually. We develop and processes until suddenly, without even knowing, we are in a different place in life than we were a couple of months ago. The minimalistic music has the same core. It repeats and repeats until the music has turned into another shape. How did it happen? Often it ́s the small variations that makes both our lives and the music change and turn into new shapes and forms. It happens so gradually that we sometimes don’t even notice it in our everyday life.
Small variations of everyday life is a concert program for solo cello, where the aesthetics from the repetitive minimalism is brought together with the organic groove found in the Nordic folk music.
Colorful, suggestive and personal music written and performed by Klara Källström.
