Brand survey: young Finns value Uniarts Helsinki’s reputation as a place of study and its uniqueness compared to other universities
According to a brand survey carried out by Taloustutkimus, something that people under the age of 25 especially appreciate about Uniarts Helsinki is the way it stands out from other Finnish universities.
According to the survey, Uniarts Helsinki’s brand has developed in a positive way in several categories compared to the previous two years. The results improved in the following categories, in particular: “The university stands out from other higher education institutions” and “The university has a positive media and social media presence.”
The general grade given to Uniarts Helsinki by the survey respondents was 8.07 (on a scale of 4 to 10). Based on the grade, Uniarts Helsinki was the sixth most valued university in Finland. A total of 14 universities were reviewed in the survey.
Uniarts Helsinki’s strengths are its good reputation and interesting fields of study
When analysing the claims associated with universities, the biggest strength that was linked to Uniarts Helsinki was the way it stands out from other universities. Uniarts Helsinki received second place in this category.
Other aspects that young people highlighted as particular strengths included Uniarts Helsinki’s good reputation as a place of study, interesting fields of study, appeal of the location of the university and flexible study opportunities. Uniarts Helsinki has the most catching up to do when it comes to the value placed on its graduates’ degrees in the labour market.
The survey was carried out using an online questionnaire, which was completed by about 2,200 Finns under the age of 25 in February–March 2022. The age of the respondent group changed from previous years, when the survey was carried out among people under the age of 30.
Adults ranked Uniarts Helsinki as the fifth most valued university
A similar survey was also conducted to a group of Finns over the age of 25. Adults ranked Uniarts Helsinki as the fifth most valued university in Finland.
Like younger respondents, adults, too, found that Uniarts Helsinki’s strengths include standing out from other universities, being located in an appealing city and having a positive media and social media presence.
