Picking up the physical (paper) work portfolios
If the applicant wishes to get their paper portfolio back after the application process has concluded, they must collect them at the Academy of Fine Arts after 17 June 2020. Instructions regarding the schedule for collecting the portfolios will be sent to applicants who have informed the Academy of their wish to retrieve their work.
If the applicant has informed the academy of their wish to have their portfolio back by mail and has paid the postage accordingly, the portfolio will be sent after the application process, i.e. after June.
NB. Any uncollected work portfolios, and portfolios for which postage has not been paid, will be destroyed.
Admission course
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the organisation of the 3rd phase of the spring 2020 student admissions of the Academy of Fine Arts of the University of the Arts Helsinki will change from what has been communicated earlier in our admissions guide. The admission course will not take place in the premises of the academy. The 3rd phase will be arranged remotely in the form of video interviews and an assignment given and completed remotely. The 3rd phase of the admission process will take place in the week reserved originally for the admission course, that is between May 11th and May 15th, 2020.
Applicants invited to the 3rd phase will be personally informed by e-mail about the schedule of the admissions course week as well as the practicalities regarding the remote assignment and interviews. Applicants invited to the 3rd phase are asked to reserve this time for work on the admission course assignment and the interview.
